Posted by rifaz on June 05, 2010 at 04:43 PM
Asalam Alaikum,
Alhamdulillah, we have started an online question and answer service. Basically, anyone can go online and anonymously ask a question related to Islam. We will answer the questions by consulting Imam Zia from Irving Masjid. Please give us a few days to respond because the Imam may be busy.
To ask a question, just go to :
http://www.formspring.me/submission
Remember, this initiative is meant for both Muslims and non- Muslims. So spread the word to all your friends !
JazakAllah Khair
Asalam Alaikum
Quran Classes
Posted by rifaz on December 28, 2008 at 09:11 PM
By the Grace of ALLAH, MSA UTD is happy to announce Quran reading Classes to start soon Inshaa ALLAH.
If you are interested, please fill in the attached form and send it back to MSA Activities Coordinator Br. Muhammad Khan (activities-brothers@utdmsa.org).
We encourage all Muslim students (especially non-arabic speakers) to apply for these classes. We may have limited seats in the beginning, but we will try to accommodate all applicants Inshaa ALLAH.
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him encouraged his followers to learn the Quarn as he said:
(1) "The best of you is he who learns the Qur'aan and teaches it." (Reported by Bukhari)
(2) "Will not any of you go to the Masjid and learn or read two verses from the Book of Allah 'The Exalted', Mighty and Glorified be He? (For) that is better for him than two she-camels, and three (verses) are better for him than three (she-camels), and four (verses) are better for him than four (she-camels). And the number (of verses read in total) are
better than the same number of camels." (Reported by Muslim)
(3) "There is no envy (acceptable) except in two (cases): a person whom Allah has given the Qur'aan and recites it throughout the night and throughout the day. And a person whom Allah has given wealth, that he gives out throughout the night and throughout the day." (Reported by Bukhari and Muslim)
May ALLAH guides us all to learning his book, and acting upon his words, Ameen.
